Our History & Evolution
Foundedin 1990, the Department of Hepatology began as a modest outpatient clinic. Overthe decades, we have evolved into a comprehensive inpatient facility and apremier medical institution. Today, we stand as the South China TCM LiverDisease Diagnosis and Treatment Center, recognized as a key specialty at themunicipal (Shenzhen), provincial (Guangdong), and national levels.

Department Leadership
Ourgrowth has been guided by distinguished leaders. Professors ZhouDaqiao, Tong Guangdong, and Zhou Xiaozhou served asadministrative directors in the past, laying a strong foundation for oursuccess. Since 2025, the department has been led by Prof. Xing Yufeng.

Weare dedicated to the integrated diagnosis, treatment, research, and teaching ofliver diseases, combining the best of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) andWestern medicine.

Ourfacility is equipped to handle high-volume patient care with a highly skilledmedical team.
Capacity: 3wards with 150 open beds.
Team: Astaff of 74 professionals, including 1 national-level leading talent, 2famous TCM doctors of Guangdong Province, 7 doctoral supervisors, and 12 mastersupervisors.
Volume: Weserve over 90,000 outpatients and discharge more than 3,000inpatients annually.
SpecializedClinics: We offer targeted clinics for Hepatitis B clinical cure, livercancer, obesity/fatty liver, and liver space-occupying lesions.
