Therapeutic Philosophy & Clinical Focus

Rooted in the classical TCM principle of "massaging the meridians to regulate qi and blood, balancing yin and yang to restore harmony," the department has cultivated a distinctive "manipulation-acupuncture-medicine integration" treatment model.

Musculoskeletal Conditions:

Cervical spondylosis

Lumbar disc herniation

Scapulohumeral periarthritis (frozen shoulder)

Tennis elbow

Plantar fasciitis

Chronic muscle and bone disorders

This reflects the classical TCM understanding that Tuina, properly applied, can regulate not merely the sinews and bones (jin gu) but the body's fundamental physiological harmony.

Academic Heritage & Innovation

Master-Apprentice Lineage With support from Shenzhen's "Three Famous Project," the department welcomed National Medical Master Wei Yizong's TCM Spine Regulation Team, elevating the specialty's clinical sophistication. This collaboration embodies the traditional Chinese pedagogical model of shicheng (master-disciple transmission), ensuring that classical techniques are preserved while being adapted for modern clinical contexts.

Scholarly Contributions The department has undertaken numerous provincial and municipal research projects, published 100+ academic papers, and authored multiple monographs. It has systematically developed and refined signature techniques now recognized as standards in the field:

"Wei's Spine Regulation Technique" (Wei Shi Zhengtui Shoufa)

"Shi's Chronic Muscle and Bone Disease Tuina Technique" (Shi Shi Manxing Jinbing Tuina Shoufa)

These methods have been widely disseminated and adopted across clinical and educational institutions, contributing to the ongoing evolution of this millennia-old therapeutic tradition.
